I’ve been away for quite a while now. The truth is, I lost my way a little. The novelty of 2020 and lockdown life began to wear pretty thin by autumn. Working from home became isolating, missing family and friends became exhausting and investing in my own happiness became challenging.
I also found out I was pregnant last July and morning, afternoon and evening sickness became all consuming. Add an extremely stressful house move into the mix and the joy I find when writing was the first to give. Isn’t it funny how the things that bring us happiness are often the first to get cast aside, right when we need them the most?
But the Happy Plan was always on my mind and something I’ve wanted to pick back up again. Perhaps posts won’t come so often now, to relieve myself of that pressure, but instead I’ll aim to share things as and when I have the urge to write.
From getting stuck in to the renovations of our 1920’s semi detached house, to becoming a mama to a beautiful baby girl there’s lots to catch up on. I hope you enjoy reading the next chapter of my plan to find happiness in the every day and the future.
